As experts in electron microscopy and ultrafast optics, Attolight's measurement tools bring ultrafast measurements down to the nanoworld. Our technology eliminates the intrinsic limitation of ultrafast optical measurement techniques, reaching higher spatial resolutions.

Our technology was developed at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland). It is the fruit of 8 years of research and development. In 2005 the first measurement were performed and scientific results were produced that got published in Nature.

From the positive buzz generated in the scientific community after this publication and from the interest of research and development laboratories for this technology, the start-up Attolight was created in order to commercialize the technology.
